"DOBARI" Style Shinai
The dobari style Shinai as compared to the regular Shinai is designed thicker at the base. As a result, the center of gravity is shifted to the base of the Shinai, towards the handle, making it feel lighter when you swing. Also, due to the weight being centered in the handles, the dobari Shinai gives the kendoka the ability to execute wrap around and kaeshi wazas at ease.
